I did not realize it had been so long since I have updated on Jessica. I have been so busy with Jessica, homeschooling her and now I found out that i might have thyroid cancer. I have been for tests on my thyroid lately and will find out if I need biopsies soon; actally I have an appt tomorrow for my latest test results and tomorrow is also mine and my husbands 10th Wedding Anniversary.

Jessica's last ultra sound was a long one and from what I saw and was told by the tech, her portal hypertension has gotten worse and her spleen has gotten quite a bit larger . Jessica's endoscopy took awhile too. The good news is that she has very small verices that aren't really showing up much at all. Bad news~ the GI said not to be surprised if she starts to get worse verices at any time now because of the portal hypertension and larger spleen. Her labs are still showing decreasing platelets. So, it is the same conclusion...worsening, but stable for now. She has another appt at the childrens hospital in July.

What else is keeping us busy? Our pets! Last August I bought hermit crabs and set up a 40 gallon 'Crabitat' ...they are so much fun! Jessica and me love our hermies! There are 14 of them, their names are Arwen, Aragorn, Leo, Miley, Harry, Hermione, Weasley, Ariel, King Tritain, Sebastian, Jade, Jasmine, Lily, and Rufus. Last week a friend gave us 8 more hermies, so I set up a little 10 gallon tank for them until I can make sure they are well enough to be put in our larger crabitat...their names are Raven, Kim, Sophie, Wade, Ron, Chelsea, Oliver, and Jackie Chan. Given the right conditions, hermit crabs can live for 30 years!

My husband bought me a puppy for Christmas . He is an American Bulldog just like our other dog Spikey was. He is very cute!  He is 6 months old now and weighs as much as Jessica...lol. Here is a pic of Jessica and Ozzy on Mother's Day~

 

For Mother's day, Jessica gave me a card with a fridge magnet that says 'Worlds Best Mom', a box of chocolates, and she wrote me a song <3
